How to pay in a store?
In a store, you pay easily with your Payconiq by Bancontact app. You no longer need your wallet, only your smartphone. Simply scan the QR code you see on the sticker, payment terminal or checkout screen at the counter. Some shops can also be found in the shop list of the app. Find out how it works below.
Scan the QR code
- Say you want to pay using the Payconiq by Bancontact app.
- Open your app and scan the Payconiq QR code at the checkout. You can find the QR code on a sticker, on the checkout screen or on the payment terminal.
- Enter the amount you need to pay or check the amount that is displayed in the app.
- Confirm your payment and it’s beeped!
Search the merchant in the shop list
Some merchants that offer Payconiq on a sticker, can be found in the shop list in the Payconiq by Bancontact app. This way, you can also pay them remotely. To do so, tap 'Pay' and ‘Shops’. Find the shop you want to pay, enter the amount and confirm your payment.
